those are nice rims. i'd check out the fikse FM5 or FM10 rims. i personally like the FM10 the best. they look pretty close to the rim you posted. a guy over at 3rdgen.org has a gunmetal gta with the grey TT rims on it, looks pretty good. the ROH ZS rims look pretty good on 3rd gen birds also. i'd post a pic of the fikse FM10 rims on a formula, but the photo attachment limit is too small.
GTA with grey torque thrust rims.

Both of those sets shown in the photos look better than the Hawks link, just IMO.
My red GTA had Ronal R9s on it when I bought it new.... does no one make a similar crosslace wheel anymore in 17" size? I know you used to could get a cool BBS wheel that looked similar in 17" size, as well as from American Racing Equipment.... although the ARE wheel might have been 16" only.

i'd personally go with 18's, i've seen them on both 3rd gen camaros and birds and they look great. and with the 18's, you can run big brake kits.

Now I can see why the prices were going to be so high on those 17" GTA rims that were once being bandied about by Hawks. Phew! That's some major league dough! I think I'll stay with my 16-inchers for a while....
Those are some beautiful rims, but I just can't personally see myself putting anything on one of my GTAs that didn't have the same crosslace look about it. That's just me.... no slam on anybody else here. We all have our own likes and dislikes.

Those are all some nice rims but definately more expensive than I'd like. I've already decided on a particular rim that I'll be putting on my car. The only thing is that I'll need the 2-inch wheel adapters to make them work.

Now that I have decided to keep the GTA I might get new wheels for her. How are you guys dealing with the offset issue?

Have you thought about CCW wheels they are cheaper than some shown and are very light. I think they are about 2400 for a set. Complete custom wheels.
If Year One can make new trans am WS6 wheels why not 17x? GTA wheels?

If I was going to spend the money and have some custom GTA wheels made. I think I would go for 18's. I wish they made a 17 and a half, as that would be the perfect size.IMO

Frankie,
I always liked the look of Ronal R9s!
Iwas going to buy a set for my 1981 modded Turbo Trans Am, then ended using 16 inch Diamond Spoke wheels.
I still play around the idea of still getting a set of those (R9s).
Got any shots of your car with them on?
George
