*shrug* I just go by what the people around town that drive them tell me. I know for a fact that one car made it to Atlanta on just a tad over 1/4 tank of gas crusing 80 with the 12 bolt and 4.10's and he ran low 7's in the 1/8th mile.

Well, like I said before a 99 FRC Vette car with a LS6 swap which includes a head and cam pkg and he has 2 tunes and on one its tuned to reg gas and he gets a constant 30+ mpg and the car dyno'ed at 400+ hp's NOW he is definitely good for 12's and with a little giggle gas he's in the 11's so it is possible, oh and he has the factory (3.42 grzzz I think) in it. Go on the either the Vette forums or LS1 forums and ck it out. It is possible especially if you are sprayin. :sly:

yeah but that's with 2 tunes. 1 being for gas mileage which he could possibly get 30+ on the highway. the other being for power which he made the 400+. but there is no way you can have those 2 together. i know for a fact there is no way he's making close to that much power with the other low octane tune. you're also talking a car running 11's on gas, the other car mentioned was said to run 11's on straight motor.
i actually have the option to do that with my car. jamy can install a switch on my car, and actually give me 4 different tunes if i want. I just haven't done it yet. but it should be done by the end of the summer. 1 tune for cruising, 1 tune for when my gf drives the car, 1 tune for all out power.

Your right and I would IMO, if I was in your shoes I would do it in a minute. The best of both worlds. :sly:

yeah absolutely. i'll probably have a 4th tune strictly for the echeck (emissions) that we have here. last year i passed it on a base tune, no polution equipment at all, and a hollow cat converter... so the 4th tune might not even happen.

So how does he set it up with a switch?

I would assume that it works like the controllers for the new diesel trucks. Have a setup with multiple proms installed and a switch that changes from one prom to another.

Hmmmm, I wonder if you could literally put them on a switch( like a knob of sorts) and then just turn the knob.?

.........OR I bet you could do with say that Megasquirt(sp) system.

you actually have a switch like the diesel setup that was mentioned. where you select which tune you want by simply turning the knob. i don't know the exact setup on it, but i believe he said you can store up to 4 tunes on one chip. and use the knob to select which tune you want from it.
