Heater core is not hard just kinda time consuming.Just take your time and reasearch the topic on thirdgen.org.I did it in a weekend.Whenever i would get frustrated i would just walk away for a bit.Good luck!

yea, the heater core isnt too bad at all. its just kind of a pain to get to one scew for the cover. as long as you have a swivel and a long extention you will be fine. as far as the headlights go, i got a kit from corvettecentral.com. its like 3 bux and it comes with new plastic bushings, which is what go bad 90% of the time.

Try Top Down Solutions. I've heard their repair parts for headlights are top notch. I haven't had to do mine yet. Lon usually is on here. The link for them is www.top-downsolutions.com. :)

Just got finished replacing the drivers side headlight gears. The kit worked great. I am glad I have small hands though. It was a tight fit taking off the headlight assembly. Tomorrow the passenger side. Should be much easier. Bad news though, looks as though the intake is leaking antifreeze....... Not much, but it will need to be fixed. I guess it is always something...

Just to let you guys know, the first time you repair the 87-92 headlight motors the OEM gel bushings are what will be bad. These bushings were the weak-link in the system. Once you've replaced the bushigns with the Delrin bushings I sell, the weak-link will be the nylon gear. I've had aftermarket nylon gears for a while now. I just wanted to let you know that I now have CNC machined aluminum anodized gears available. Replacing the nylon gears with these will CNC aluminum gears be the ultimate upgrade and more than likely the last time you'll need to repair the motors. I'll add pictures of the gear once I get digital pictures taken of it.

Here's a picture of the new machined alluminum anodized gear:

It is TDS 602221, $40. When I get a chance I'll package it into a kit with bushings. In the meantime if this is your first time repairing the headlight actuators order two gears along with the TDS 209280 or two of the TDS 207280 headlight repair kits. That would give you all the parts you'd need to repair two headlight actuators.
