Wow, that is pretty expensive! Especially the part cost only $25.00 from the dealership without embroider work though. I bought three new from dealership and have one on my GTA now and two in closet for some other time. I guess you plan to only have that one on there only for shows right? I would. I use to see these embloidered ones on E-bay a few year ago for the same $225 price. But now after you can not get them from Dealership anymore, I do not see them on E-bay anymore either. Looking good though. But I hope you only put it on there for show so it stay looking good. Yumiko

Thanks gtayumiko, this one looks great. It's nothing like the original GM one but a totaly custom piece so not a original one embroidered. The fit and outer shape is identical to the OEM one but this is special material and it's a hardboard one not soft like the original one so this will last forever ... at least I hope so :-) I don't drive the car that much so this one stays on there all the time, I know people have been using them for years on their cars and driving alot with them and they seems to last without any problems.

That is great that it has been staying clean for you. I would not want to take that chance though myself with one like that. Last summer I was driving my GTA and when I get home, I open hood and to my sadness, the air conditioner pump was leaking fluid out and it was splattered on area over pump onto the new insulation piece. I clean it up nicely but only because this piece is black. I do not think I could so a good job if it is light color like your emboidered piece is. Another thing remember is if you break a belt, it could hit the emboidery and damage it. I know I am paranoid most times about this GTA. :) Yumiko

Here's a pic of mine from CARMotorsports. It is far from the factory part. It is lifetime material that can be cleaned with almost any kind of cleaner. They look good and should last a while.
