I just bought a 1989 Trans AM GTA...white w/gray leather interior. The back seats are in fair condition, but the front ones are pretty torn, cracked, etc. There's quite a bit of scuff marks on the back and sides also. What options do I have to replace/fix these things? I don't want the seat covers as my car has the split seats in the back. Should I:

a. Wait till seat covers come out for the split rear seats and pay $800+?
b. Take them to a reupholstry shop and see if they can redo them?
c. Buy a set of 4th gen seats

I'am really leaning towards 4th gen seats as everything would be new, and no scratches. Do they just bolt on without any modifications? Any problems with the front or rear seatbelts lining up? What's the price on those suckers? Thank you very much for any information you can provide.

If you don't care about keeping your car all original. GO for the 4th gen seats. They are more comfortable, at least my 95 z/28 is more comfortable that Krazzy's 87 IROC
