I know it is not a GTA, but it is pretty close. It is a blue ‘92 Firebird, that sports a twin-turbocharged small block, and was officially built to gauge how well the third-gen chassis held up under extreme power levels. Unofficially it was built to run in a particular magazine’s top speed competition. The ‘Bird cracked the magical 200 mph mark.

That spoiler is the same they use on the Firehawk, right? Is there a chance it's just a modified Firehawk?

I don't know about the spoiler, it looks like a 91-92 aero to me. But the car is not a Firehawk. It is a prototype car stored at Pontiac Motor Division’s secret stash of vehicles warehoused somewhere in Michigan. It uses the original TPI, the Firehawk used a completely new setup that SLP designed.
